Kalel is a true creative spirit. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he grew up as a 'City Kid' - exposed to arts, culture and theatre. At an early age, Kalel showed a natural instinct for music and learned to play his first string instrument at the age of five. He attended the prestigious Waldorf School where he studied and performed a repertoire of Shakespearean plays as a member of the drama ensemble. Kalel was a member of the renowned Brooklyn Youth Chorus (BYC) as a countertenor. In 2023, Kalel graduated from the Brooklyn High School of the Arts with a double concentration in drama and music (playing the cello). Kalel now attends The New School where he is a Performing Arts/Drama major. Kalel is currently studying abroad in London and is based between the US and UK.
